For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives." -Hebrews 12:6When was the last time you thanked God for His correction. Understanding that if the Lord does not rebuke you He does not love you is not the same as hearing it and nodding assent. The scripture, however, is both true and sufficient. I pray that I will thank the Lord for His rebukes. I want to be loved, after all.

I wouldn't want to be to morbid, but I also wouldn't want to forget some of the necessary things involved in love and growth.
